My silver clay journey...

I discovered silver clay back in 2004.  I can’t claim that my early pieces were particularly great, however I was very proud of what I had made and was completely and utterly hooked!  Whilst still working in the corporate world, each year I would focus on mastering new jewellery making techniques, attending courses, completing lots of self-paced learning and practise, practise, practise to develop my skills.  I also started teaching jewellery making techniques at weekends and in 2009 I left my IT career and took the plunge into full-time jewellery making & teaching.

 Favourite silver clay technique…

I’ve been hooked on making lentil beads since I made my first one back in 2005 during my PMC Studio Certification course.  I can’t explain why, I’ve just always found them very satisfying and fascinating to make.

What excites me most about silver clay...

Apart from lentil beads?!  It’s the endless possibilities of it, whether working with it alone or combining it with other mediums, I don’t think I will ever stop discovering something new to try.
