After drying, the objects are heated to temperatures approaching the melting point of the metal, at this point the particles fuse together to make a dense, pure silver object which can be hallmarked at 999 Fine Silver. Fired PMC can be polished, soldered and enameled.
PMC3 is the latest form of Precious Metal Clay and recommended for anyone starting out with PMC. PMC3 can be torch fired. Its shrinkage rate is only 10 percent and is thus perfect for work with glass, stones and ceramics. It has the finest particles and therefore is the strongest and most durable of the PMC range making it idea for high wear items such as rings. In addition it has the best luster of the three types of PMC. Total fired silver weight: 16grams.
