Amy is a fully qualified jewellery tutor and maker. She has been teaching and making jewellery since she graduated with a BA (Hons) Designed Metalwork and Jewellery degree in 2001. Having completed a metalwork degree her first love is working with metal but in 2005 Amy discovered the world of Precious Metal Clay became a PMC Studio accredited Senior PMC Instructor.

Course: Introduction to Precious Metal Clay

 Learn how to work with PMC to create unique jewellery. You'll make a silver leaf pendant using PMC paste, a pair of earrings or charms using simple texturing techniques and torch firing, a multi layer dry construction silver pendant using cutting, texturing and forming techniques,
set stones and much more on this one day course. - £85.00 + materials

Sunday 25th January. Time 10-3pm.
 

Course: Textured Band Ring

Learn how to use lump PMC, paste,texturing mats and basic techniques to create a textured ring band. Lean how to size the ring allowing for shrinkage how
to form, file, fire and finish to a high standard. Suitable for beginners.

Dates: 1st February 

Time: 10am – 3pm including one hour for lunch

Cost £ 85 per person including vat, a pack of 7g PMC3 clay and use of paste.

 

Course: Introduction to Precious Metal Clay (Two Days)

Learn how to work with PMC to create unique jewellery. Make a silver leaf pendant and bisque bead using PMC paste, a pair of earrings or charms using a torch firing technique, a multi-layer construction pendant, a textured ring and hollow bead using cutting, texturing and forming techniques, set stones and incorporate glass in your pieces on this two day course. 

Saturday 21st - Sunday 22nd February 10-4pm - £145.00 + materials

 

Course: Pea Pod Pendant

Learn how to use lump PMC to create a pea pod shell, how to join the clay, file and finish to a high standard then how to drill holes and fire ready to insert beads to create the peas!! A very cute project for all levels of ability (Suitable for beginners) - £85.00 inc materials (1x7g Pack of clay and use of paste)
Sunday 22nd March. Time 10am-3pm.

The Premier Inn is a 10 minute walk from The Oxford Bead Shop. There is a restaurant located next to the hotel or a wide selection of restaurants, bars and cafes on The Cowley Road that can be reached in 5 minutes by taxi or 10 minutes by bus.

Travel

The No 5 bus from Oxford Train station will bring you within a 5 minute walk to The Oxford Bead Shop.

The Stagecoach 10 and U5 from the city centre will bring you within a 2 minute walk to The Oxford Bead Shop.

Parking

There is parking available on the forecourt and plenty available in the street. No parking charges apply.
