Metallic Glazes

Fantasy Moon and Fantasy Prisme Metallic Glazes

Metallic glazes

Metallic glaze is a great way of adding solid colours to any metal, wood or glass. It is especially suited for Creative Copper Clay as it gives a perfectly smooth coating with a glossy finish.

There are two different effects that can be created; Fantasy Moon creates a solid, plain colour whereas Fantasy Prisme gives a pretty ‘popcorn’ effect. Together they are available in more than 40 colours.

Both types of metallic glazes are easy to use. The only difference between them is a slight difference in the method of application.

How to use Fantasy Moon and Fantasy Prisme Metallic Glazes

Step 1

Before use thoroughly mix the paint with a cocktail stick or clean up tool.

Step 2 – Fantasy Prisme

Apply with a cocktail stick, paintbrush or dropper bottle. For best results use a cocktail stick. Drop colours on top of each other or mix to create unique patterns. Thicker layers will give a better depth of colour.

Step 2 – Fantasy Moon

Apply with a paintbrush. Again, colours can be mixed together or dragged into each other to create patterns. Thicker layers will give more detailed results.

Step 3

Leave for 5 minutes to allow the effect to develop. You can still make changes at this stage. If you are not satisfied with the result you can remove the metallic glaze with a soft cloth and some white spirit.

Step 4

When you are happy with the effect, leave the paint to set for at least 12 hours after which it will be touch-dry. It will take 72 hours to set completely.
